On the day of Ashura, when the world remembers the stand of Imam Husain (as) against tyranny and oppression, our community came forward not with swords but with sleeves rolled up, hearts open, and a fierce commitment to saving lives.

In Karbala, Imam Husain (as) gave everything. Not for power, not for position but to expose injustice, to defend truth, and to protect human dignity. He stood when no one else would, and he gave when no one else dared. That spirit echoed through the halls of our blood donation centre this Ashura.

Men and women, young and old, came out in numbers each one of them carrying the message of Husain (as) in their veins. Each donation was more than just blood. It was a statement. A stand. A reminder that even in a world full of cruelty, generosity still lives. That even as injustice continues to exist, so does the legacy of resistance and compassion.

In a time when so many feel powerless, this was power. Quiet. Dignified. Revolutionary.

To everyone who showed up thank you. You didn’t just save lives. You honoured the blood that was spilled in Karbala by giving your own to heal the wounds of others.

This is how we remember.
This is how we resist.
This is how we keep the name of Husain (as) alive.
