Uniting Australia’s Shia Muslim Community with Purpose and Pride
The Shia Muslim Council of Australia (SMCA) is a united voice for the Shia Muslim community, representing 38 member organisations from across the nation. Founded on the principles of faith, service, and collaboration, SMCA works to advocate for the community’s rights, strengthen interfaith understanding, and foster social cohesion within Australian society.
Our mission is to ensure the needs, concerns, and contributions of the Shia Muslim community are recognised at every level, from local initiatives to national policy discussions. We actively engage with government bodies, advisory committees, community organisations, and the media to provide informed representation and constructive advocacy.
